Professional Bio
Salah Alahwany, MD, PhD, is a Research Fellow in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He defended his MD/PhD thesis in Cardiac Electrophysiology (Efficacy of radiofrequency catheter ablation versus antiarrhythmic drugs in treating high burden premature ventricular contractions in children with structurally normal heart) in 2021. He accomplished the Egyptian Board of EP and Pacing, a three-year training program, in 2022. He was warded an MD/PhD in cardiovascular medicine from Ain Shams University, Cairo, May 2023.
Dr. Alahwany currently serves as 2023-2024 Heart Rhythm Society Global Relations Committee Member and European Heart Rhythm Association Young EP Ambassador.
