Sandip Zalawadiya
Professional Bio
Sandip Zalawadiya, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Medicine, and is the Medical Director of the Ventricular Assist Device Program and Director of the Ambulatory Heart Failure Devices Program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, both programs aimed at improving care and outcomes among patients with heart failure. Dr. Zalawadiya obtained his medical degree from Smt. N.H.L. Municipal Medical Center, Gujarat, India. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Wayne State University, Michigan and pursued further training in Heart Failure and Transplantation at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Zalawadiya has been an invited faculty at national and international conferences and has several peer-reviewed publications in major journals. He has a special interest in device therapies in heart failure, including ventricular assist devices, hemodynamic monitoring (both invasive and non-invasive).
