Professional Bio
Sarah Maynard, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is an Assistant in Medicine in the Department of Medicine Division of Geriatric Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). Her professional practice in a variety of settings has equipped her to provide excellent care, utilizing evidence-based practice guidelines for patients across the continuum of life. Her previous experience includes caring for acutely ill patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at VUMC. Additionally, she has worked in research fields, including organ transplantation and the utilization of hemodialysis. Prior to her current position, she worked in Internal Medicine, treating patients of all ages with a focus on patient-centered, multisystem disease treatment, medication management, preventative care, and comprehensive patient education. She is dedicated to empowering individuals to become knowledgeable and engaged in their health and the management of disease processes. She is certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an FNP.
