Scott Lee
Professional Bio
Scott S. Lee, MD, PhD, MPA, MPhil, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. With training in behavioral economics, Dr. Lee's research interests lie in improving the performance of healthcare workers and the health behaviors of patients. In both areas, he studies the use of incentives and interventions inspired by behavioral economics to facilitate behavior change. In this vein, he has led several randomized controlled trials designed to strengthen large-scale, public-sector healthcare worker programs in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, and he has conducted research on novel behavioral and pharmacologic interventions for addiction and other chronic health behaviors.
