Professional Bio
Shelia Dunaway, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases within the Department of Medicine at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). Dr. Dunaway completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Maryland, where she subsequently completed an Infectious Diseases fellowship associated with the Institute of Human Virology. She was a faculty member with the University of Washington's Division of Infectious Diseases for 18 years before joining faculty at VUMC in 2023. Dr. Dunaway has many years of experience with clinical HIV and STD research and clinical care for these infections. Her passion is caring for people living with HIV, and ensuring complete care for her patients.
