Professional Bio
Stacy Smith, MD, is a Clinical Fellow in the Division of Geriatric Medicine, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
She was born and raised in Atlanta, but has lived all over the East and West Coast throughout her adult life. She attended Smith College for her undergraduate training where she majored in Government with a minor in African American Studies. After several years of working in various fields, Dr. Smith began a medical career after obtaining a Master's in Medical Science at Drexel University College of Medicine. She continued her medical training as a Family Medicine Resident with Meharry Medical College Department of Family and Community Medicine in Nashville.
Dr. Smith has always been interested in working with the geriatric community, but that interest blossomed in medical school. After completing her Geriatric Fellowship at Vanderbilt, Dr. Smith plans to divide her time between geriatric clinics and nursing home care.
