Professional Bio
Stacy Tsai, MD,MS, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
She is an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist with clinical and research interests in the personalization of therapies for cardiomyopathy patients, nutrition and its role in the management of cardiovascular disease and heart failure, invasive hemodynamics and technologies used for monitoring, heart transplantation and the improvement of patient quality and quantity of life, and mechanical circulatory support - both temporary and durable.
Dr. Tsai is passionate about medical education along with curriculum design and development, previously serving as chief resident at California Pacific Medical Center and chief fellow at Scripps Clinic where she trained for internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship respectively. She put forward a fellows-in-training bootcamp in collaboration with general cardiology fellowship programs across the state of California, aimed at supporting first year fellows and their transition from residency to fellowship.
Dr. Tsai is dedicated to patient education and is an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion for her patients and their advanced heart failure care.
