Yasmin Araujo
Interests

Yasmin was born in Fortaleza, Brazil after which she moved to sunny Fort Myers, Florida with her parents and younger brother. She attended the University of Florida (Go Gators!!) where she majored in Microbiology and Cell Sciences and minored in Portuguese Studies. She also played club volleyball at UF all four years, something her knees and ankles are still recovering from. She then went to the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. Here, Yasmin fell in love with Internal Medicine and stumbled into the world of ID, which has been her passion ever since. Outside of the hospital, Yasmin enjoys reading, playing volleyball, watching the Gators and the Packers suffer throughout their entire seasons, weight lifting, and crafting. She could not be more excited to start her next adventure in Nashville and join the Vanderbilt family! Fun fact: her Spotify listening age is 79 years old!
