Professional Bio
Zach Yoneda, MD, MSCI, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is a board-certified Cardiac Electrophysiologist with a long-standing interest in atrial fibrillation. After finishing his undergraduate studies at Harvard University, he moved to Nashville in 2009 for medical school at Vanderbilt and has remained ever since. During his cardiology training at Vanderbilt, he served as the fellow for the American Heart Association’s Strategically Focused Research Network on Atrial Fibrillation and obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation. He then completed subspecialty training in cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Yoneda's clinical and research interests have been the evaluation, diagnosis and management of patients with atrial fibrillation with an emphasis on early onset atrial fibrillation. He specializes in the comprehensive care of atrial fibrillation patients, including ablation, left atrial appendage occlusion and cardiac device implantation.
