Ashley R Karpinos
Professional Bio
Ashley Rowatt Karpinos, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Internal Medicine and Public Health within the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She graduated summa cum laude from Kenyon College where she was a NCAA champion swimmer. At Vanderbilt, she graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from medical school, completed residency in internal medicine and pediatrics, completed a Quality Scholars fellowship and a primary care sports medicine fellowship, and received her MPH. Dr. Karpinos practices primary care medicine-pediatrics and sports medicine and serves as the team physician for the Vanderbilt Varsity Cross Country, Swimming, and Track and Field teams. Her research and outreach interests relate to the cardiovascular health of athletes.
