Dr. Mufti was awarded the President's Cabinet Award for her pivotal role in the creation of an interdisciplinary team at the UTMB Geriatric Ambulatory Clinic which aimed to empower older adults through the establishment of a special therapeutic group called Geriatric Resilience: Engage And Treat (GREAT) for those patients identified as being high risk for dementia and social isolation. She has been an invited speaker locally and nationally at academic institutions and scientific meetings.
