Professional Bio
Nanette E. Dendy, MD, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A Nashville native, Dr. Dendy is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis and a graduate of the Internal Medicine Residency program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She has practiced with the Hillsboro Medical Group at Vanderbilt since 2004.
Dr. Dendy previously served as the Director of the Internal Medicine Clerkship and as the Residency Program Director at Prisma Health/University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Greenville where she practiced from 2010-2020. She returned to Vanderbilt in 2020 and is the Director of the Internal Medicine Clerkship for the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
Dr. Dendy's interests include preventive medicine, diabetes, women's health, and medical education. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, a Fellow in the American College of Physicians, and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
