Division faculty member provide high-quality clinical care across a wide spectrum of diseases, helping patients manage conditions ranging from mild allergies to chronic lung disease. Faculty practice in a number of clinical care settings within the Vanderbilt Lung Institute.

Department of Medicine
Anna Hemnes, MD, is a Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is director of the Vanderbilt Center for Lung Research and Physician-in-Chief of the Vanderbilt Lung Institute.
Her research interests encompass a wide range of topics within pulmonary medicine, including pulmonary hypertension, vascular biology and cardiopulmonary diseases. Her clinical, basic, and translational contributions to the scientific community have been broadly published, extensively funded and widely recognized.
