Fellowships in the Department of Medicine
The department has 16 ACGME-accredited fellowships and several non-accredited fellowships in diverse disciplines that trained more than 170 residents and 260 fellows at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Nashville VA Medical Center in the 2021-2022 academic year.
The department also has a diverse research portfolio currently supported by over $316M of annual external research funding. Vanderbilt currently ranks second in NIH research funding among all Departments of Medicine in U.S. medical schools.
